Level 1 is a 4-week online course to solidify the foundations of intimacy work in performance. Level 1 is open to any and all, regardless of plans to work toward the full certification.

Level 2 is a 6-week online course exploring intermediate applications of intimacy work. Level 2 is open to anyone who has completed Level 1, regardless of plans to work towards the full certification.

In Level 3, candidates transition from learning foundational ideas to the specific hands-on details of what exactly it takes to be an excellent Intimacy Coordinator.

 

This level is by application only.

Level 4 aims to provide professional support and mentorship as you begin working professionally in the industry. Successful completion of Level 4 results in certification with ICC.

Prerequisites before applying to ICC

  • Completed Level 1 & 2 IDC professional workshop program, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 300 hours, 10 years, or 15 show credits working in a Directorial, Choreography, or Coordinator position on film & television sets 

  • Background with movement instruction

  • Sexual education advocacy courses and background

  • Mental health first aid (and subsequent MHFA working with minors) training and background

  • ACTRA members preferred

  • Canadian citizenship with permanent residence in Canada
