Mo Matton is a trans and queer Intimacy Coordinator certified by Intimacy Coordinators Canada.

 

Their approach is creative, compassionate and direct, attentive to the well-being of performers and the artistic vision of the director. With ten years of experience in the film industry, Mo has prior experience as an Assistant Director with the DGC as well as a film festival programmer and curator. They are experienced in mise-en-scene and approach intimacy scenes with care, precision and inventiveness.

 

Along with their Intimacy Coordinating training, they hold a Master’s degree in Media Studies (research-creation on the possibilities for transformative justice through science fiction) and a Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies and Film Studies. In parallel to their work as an IC, Mo is involved in LGBTQIA2S+ advocacy, notably as co-founder of Rencontres Cinéma Queer et Trans Montréal where they develop tools and trainings for better representation and support of trans people in the film industry.
