Mo Matton

(They / Them / Y / Eux)

Apprentice Intimacy Coordinator

Montreal, QC

Mo Matton (they / them / french?) is a trans intimacy coordinator with a special focus on a more diverse portrayal of on-screen intimacy scenes. After two years of training, including the advanced training program of Intimacy Coordinators Canada, Mo offers a creative, human and direct approach, attentive to the well-being of the performers and the artistic vision of the directors. Having worked on several productions as an intimacy coordinator, Mo has, upstream, more than 7 years of experience in directing and production in French and English, with a good knowledge of the particularities of the film industry and of television in Quebec. Concerned about offering a safe work experience, Mo has taken training in first aid in mental health, and cultivates anti-oppressive practices on the plateau. These achievements, in connection with his experiences of realization, give him the necessary tools to navigate the choreographies of the scenes of intimacy with attention, precision and inventiveness.

At the same time, Mo is involved in LGBTQIA2S + issues, notably as co-founder of Rencontres Cinéma Queer et Trans Montréal where it develops tools for the support and representation of trans people. Maude is currently directing a short film produced by Colonelle Films .
